The Chronological Events of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Eanchacode.

•  12 11.2009 : Our lady of perpetual Help Church, Eancha Code was established as a new parish by The Most Rev. Dr. Peter Remigius, Bishop of Kottar.
• 06.12.2009 Christmas Carrol took place to enhance the christmas celebration. 

• 20.12.2009: Eala chanthai (Auction) was held to improve the financial status of the parish.

• 25.12.2009 :Christmas mass and Christmas tree and crib competition. 4th BCC got the 1st prize and 1st BCC got the second prize.

• 01.01.1020: New year was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm.
• 14.01. 2010:  Pongal was celebrated with the support of 7 BCCs.

•  04.01.2010: House visit.
•  30.01.2010: Children's mass was introduced and carried forward on Saturdays.

• A small survey of the parish was taken. 

• 07.02.2010: Joint parish council meeting was conducted togather with Eanchacode and ponmanai for Lenten season.

• Lenten pious activities for married people, youth,  y c s and children were conducted.

• Lenten BCC mass was conducted in each BCC so as to prepare for the Easter.

• Easter vigil mass was celebrated in the parish church.

• Parish feast was celebrated from 14.05.2010 to 23.05.2010 with great enthusiasm. We had programme with our parish childern everyday.

• 23.05.2010: Jubilee of Sr. Glory was celebrated in a grand manner.

• V B S was conducted and more than hundred children participated. 

• VBS picnic was organized to Aralvazhimoli, Kanyakumari, Puliyoorkurichi and Vattakottai.

• Notebooks were distributed to BCCs. Those notebooks were  sponsored by Punnai Nager parish.

• 15 cents Land was bought for cemetery purpose by  selling the old cemeteryland of 11 cents. The Bishop was supported by providing 2 lakhs.

• 18.08.2010: Velanganni shrine pilgrimage was undertaken by walk. 

• 13.08.2010 to 15.08.2010: Our Lady of Assumption Feast, Ponmanai was celebrated.

• 22.08.2010: Catechism manogra chanthai was conducted.

• 27.10.2010: pomanai Vallangani Kursady feast celebrated.

• 12.11.2010:First year of the parish day celebration with dance competition and feast meal was celebrated. 

•   24.12.2010 crib competition conducted.

       first prize-4th BCC, Second prize- 1 BCC and 3rd prize- 7 BCC.

•  Pongal  day was  celebrated. kola competition was conducted. first grade-6,7,2,5: second grade-3,4,1

• 01.01.2011. New year was celebrated.

• 02.01.2011. B.C.C month was celebrated Such as children in B.C.C, youth in B.C.C, married couples in B.C.C, old people in B.C.C and vocation in B.C.C

• 17.01.2011. youth seminar was conducted

• 23.01.2011. The "elachanthai"(collection through marketing) 

• 28.01.2011. Christian unity day  was celebrated with C.S.I and Salvation Army churches of Eanchacode.

• 06.2.2011. 1,2,3, parsu ceetu started(lucky prize). 

• 09.03.2011. Lenten  season started.

•  20.03.2011. youth seminar was conducted in the kulasekharam mandalam at manchakonam.

•  20.03.2011.  Village council was organized for the patron feast  and Y C S  recollection was held.

• 27.03.2011. youth sangamam was conducted with cultural programs by Eancha code and Ponmanai youth.The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jagan Bose, youth director.

•  10.04.2011. youth  have recollection at kulasekharam church and also the same day first communion classes were started.

•  17.04.2011. Palm Sunday was celebrated with a possession. 

• 21.04.2011. Holy Thursday 

• 22.04.2011. Holy Friday  

• 24.04.2011. Easter celebration. 

• 01.05.2011. Workers day was celebrated by the christen worker's association. 

• 02.05.2011. V.B.S. was conducted. 

• 13.05.2011 to 22.05.2011 our patron feast was celebrated in a simple but grant manner.   

• 19.05.2011. "Malaai thuligal"  book released. 

• 03.07.2011. Village council for the  next level Developmental planning of the parish. This year, It is planned to improve the Pious Associations and commissions.

• 10.07.2011. Catechism for parents started. 

•  24.07.2011. Year of Catechism was started in a grant manner in the parish. 
• 13.14,15 of August 2011. Ponmanai our lady of Assumption Feast will  be Celebrated only three day. 
• 10.09.2011 Tuition  classes were started in the parish for the children.
• 11.09.2011 Marble stones were pasted in the inside walls of the Eancha code  church  by the contribution of the parishners
• October was celebrated as the month of Rosary in the B.B.C's.
• 29.10.2011 Pomanai Kursady festival was celebrated.
• November All souls' Day( "Dead parishners" )were remembered.
• 12.11.2011 The first cheetu Kulukal was conducted.
• 12.11.2011 Parish Day was Celebrated and Parish visit was done by the Bishop.
• 12.11.2011 The sacrament of confirmation was given to 42 children.
• 11.12.2011 B.B.C Christmas program was celebrated in a grant manner.
• 25.12.2011 Christmas was Celebrated with Christmas carol.
• 01.01.2012. New year was Celebrated with new thoughts and mind.
• 01.01.2012 Preunchani was joined with the parish as a sub-station. As it was announced before.
• The B.B.C's were constructed to Nine New B.B.C's from Seven earlier at Eanchacode.
• 15.01.2012 Pongal was celebrated with Kolams and Pongal food.
• 22.01.2012 Christan unity octave was conducted with other churches.
• 05.02.2012 The  New parish council  election  was conducted.
• 04.03.2012 Lenten Recollection for Children was conducted at Eanchacode.
• 11.03.2012 Lenten  Recollection was conducted for youth at ponmanai
• 18.03.2012 Lenten  Recollection was conducted for married people at perunchani
• 01.04.2012 Palm sunday was celebrated with the procession of C.S.I church and Selvation Army Church at parinba hospital.
• Holy Thursday was celebrated with Bread .
• Easter Sunday  celebrated with the Easter procession with C.S.I. Church at 4.00 am.
• The parish feast  celebrated from 11.05.2012 to 20. 05.2013 with three days "narchaithi Kuttam" and car procession and "sahaya malar" a parish booklet was also published first time in the parish.
• On 03.06.2012 announced that the flowing year is dedicated to " Children participation year".
• 24.06.2012 Kulaseharam Zonal B.C.C meeting  held at perunchani in that competition conducted to children.

• On 30.07.2013 parish Development planning seminar was conducted by Rev.Fr. Mano in which the parish council, Catechism teachers, pious association representatives Amusa representatives attended.
• A tour was arranged to the Liturgical committee of our parish on 09.08.2012.
• Valanganni on foot pilgrimage mass was on 17.08.2012.
• August 15 the feast of ponmani celebrated.
• United Christian silent procession was held on 09.09.2012 from st. Augustine church to mamudo c s i church.
• On 24.10.2012  the BCC united tour took place.
• November 10 "parisu cheetu Kulukal" was held. 
• On 11.11.2012 the third parish day celebrated with speech competition and awareness comics.
• On 02.12.2012 the parishioner attended the martyr Devashahayam blessed announcement mass at Carmel nager.
• On 23.12.2012 "Anbiya Christmas program was held with competitions.

• December 25 Christmas day celebrated with Christmas song and Christmas message.
• On 01.01.2013 the new year was celebrated with usual programs.

• On 27.01.2013 three parish council members re-elected and "Kurusady Concrete work  was done.
• On 17.02.2013 the Amusa Parish seminar held for the parish and the sub-stations at Eanchacode.

• On 17.03.2013 "urkuttam" held for parish feast.
• On. 31.03. 2013 Easter day Celebrated with the procession with the C.S.I Church.
• Parish feast was Celebrated from 10.05.2013 to 19.05.2013 in grant manner with sahaya malar, car procession and drama.
• The feast day of perunchani was celebrated with High mass on 13.06.2013 with "Anbin verunthu".
• Anbiya Zonal meeting was held at Eanchacodu on 28.07.2013.
• Liturgical seminar held on 04.08.2013 at Eanchacodu.
• Valanganni on foot pilgrimage mass was on 11.08.2013.
• August 15,2013 the feast of ponmani celebrated.
• Kulaseharam zonal Children's seminar held at Alancholai For that Eanchacode and Ponmani children participated.  
• 18.08.2013 - First communion class started for the children as a coaching for few months.

• General Body meeting ( ur kuttom ) was conducted on 13.10.2013
• 11.11.2013 Bishop laid foundation stone for the Parochial House and the Parish day was celebrated in a grant manner.
• parochial house construction was started with many problems and opposition mostly from sisters and the supporters of sisters.
• November month - our ancestor who died were remembered
• 01.12.2013 Christmas carol started.
• 15.12.2013 Aruvadai chanthai" was conducted.
• 25.12.2013 Christmas day was celebrated with Christmas gift sharing, contribution to poor, Christmas song and Christmas comic.
• First Friday Holy adoration was started from on 01.01.2014.
• 19.04.2014 - Catechism  kulukal was done.
• Christian unity  day was celebrated in Mangalam LMS Church. 
• Parochial House belt concrete was on 10.02.2014. the participation of the people was appreciated.  
• Kulasekeharam BCC zonal meeting was held in Eancha code on 23.02.2014.
• 23.003.2014 General Body meeting held for the feast.
• parochial house concrete was done with the support of the people on 30.03.20143.
• 11.05.2014 the roof concrete was done by the people. many had injuries  at hand due to cement and hard work including the parish priest.  

• The Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was from 19 .05.1014 to 25.05.2014 for 7 days celebrated due to the dept of the parish.
• 15.06.2014 the feast of St. Antony was celebrated by the parishioner of perunchani.
• 06.07.2014 and 20.07.2014 and 10.08.2014   Kurusady concrete first, second and third floors.
• Kulasekharam zonal Bcc was held in pachiparai Church on 27.07.2014.
• 15.08.2014. The feast of Ponmanai Our Lady of Assumption  was celebrated only one day.

OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP,EANCHA CODE

A SHORT HISTORY OF THE PARISH

• It is the  humble beginning of the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Eancha code.

•  In the year 1965, Fr. Charles Borromeo S. M. with I C M sisters established  a small church at Eanchacode with 5 families.
• Latter It  became one of the sub-station of St. Augustine’s Church, Kulasekharam.

• From  the year 1966 to 1981, Franciscan Brothers were doing the mission work at Eanchacode. They bought land and build a house for their stay and they extended the mission. ( Near the present Church premise )

• Since 1981 onwards the Sister of Sisters  of charity came to Eancha code parish  (replacing Franciscan Brothers ) and were working in the parish.They also  took charge of the school namely  sahaya matha middle school.

• Pallottine Fathers were doing their mission work from 1983 to 2009 in the parish.

• 12 11.2009 : Our lady of perpetual Help Church     Eancha Code was established as a new parish by The Most Rev. Dr. Peter Remigius, Bishop of Kottar.

• Fr. A.Michaelraj is the first parish priest from 12. 11. 2009 

• 12.11.2010. The parish celebrated the first Year of the new parish with a solemn mass followed by a dance Competition and feast day meal.

• South:  Andoor Vendaliyodu
• East:  Peruvazhikadavu, Ponmanai, Valliattumugam.
• West:  Mamoodu Junction, West Panaviliai

• Church of Our lady of Assumption, Ponmanai.
• St. Anotny’s Church, Perunchani.
